Waterloo Co-operative Residence Incorporated is a major housing organization built, owned, and operated by students.

Each year, hundreds of students choose the friendly, open community of WCRI to live while attending Wilfrid Laurier University or the University of Waterloo, which is just across the street from our main buildings on Phillip St., Waterloo.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

  1. WCRI is entirely governed by students, following a democratic process which has proven very efficient since 1965.

  2. WCRI has the best student environment ever. The co-op offers countless possibilities for social interaction and the fulfillment of most students’ needs and interests while also providing a peaceful, clean and comfortable environment for academic work.

  3. WCRI's rates are maintained very low, thanks to the co-operative work duty system. All members make a minimal contribution to the operation of the co-op that varies from two to three hours a week. Members have the possibility of taking part in the organization of activities, the management of the co-operative, or the operation of the facilities.
